Over a decade spent competing about the best competition the sport offers has brought the 37-year-old to your mindset where he breaks things because of simple solutions. It's the easiest way for Pyle to provide things beyond his manipulate to roll off her shoulders as he is constantly on the move on toward her personal goals.
If his scheduled opponent suffers a car accident that forces him out of your bout, Pyle stays upon his training regiment, confident the UFC will find a replacement.
When that replacement brings an absolutely different style than the main he had been previously finding your way through, the Las Vegas-based mma star makes the adjustments needed and finds something new within the matchup that excites him or her.
Then again, this can be described as man who fought heavy-handed former light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Knutson in his professional debut. When there is a ruckus to end up had and his company name is involved, that alone is enough to get Pyle enthusiastic about going to work.
The following task on his list arrives against Rick Story with UFC 160 on Memorial Day weekend in Vegas. "It's going to be one damn good fight that's for sure, " Pyle told Bleacher File. "[Rick] Story brings this. He's a straightforward chap and I'm not visiting take a step back. I'm going to be in his face just as much as he's in mine and we will scrap. It's going as a good scrap and I'm aiming to finish him. Where Pyle was originally training to handle a savvy submission artist in Nelson, he will now square off with a much different fighter with Story. The Vancouver, California., -based fighter brings a power-wrestling-based expertise into the Octagon and prefers to keep the action in shut down, where he has applied heavy-handed body shots along with dirty boxing to break up his past opposition.
While his new opponent offers different stylistic challenges, Pyle isn't getting mixed up on how things look in some recoverable format. He's simply looking frontward to mixing it up with Story and is particularly confident in the work he's invested to make for the fight.
"There isn't too much of a difference, " Pyle responded when asked regarding the change of opponent. "A fight is a fight and it'll be a fight at the time you get in there. You can never guess too much about what is going to happen. All I know is actually I was scheduled to fight over the 26th—the opponent changed—and any time that date comes approximately I'm still going to be in a fight. There is a certain amount of difference in power and variety of course. Rick Story is a little bit more straightforward where Gunnar [Nelson] would've been a bit harder to find in that room. I'm not going to enjoy any problems choosing Story in there in any way. He brings it and I'm pumped up about it. "
"You must stick and move, person. You have to hit rather than be hit and don't let him implement his style over the fight. You have to stick to your guns and just see how as it happens. "
The bout against Story offers the potential to boost Pyle's standing inside the divisional picture—a conversation he's been absent from most of the time. Despite being on the most effective run of his position with three consecutive victories, all coming by manner of stoppage, the gritty veteran is usually rarely mentioned alongside additional rising contenders in this weight class.
Having won six out of his last seven journeys certainly seems enough so that you can earn the former WEC champion a situation in the welterweight division's upper tier, but nevertheless, issues of these nature are not an item Pyle concerns himself by means of.
"I can't control any of that, " Pyle answered as soon as asked if he's overlooked in the welterweight picture. "What I will control is getting inside the gym, training my ass off and practicing for whoever they put looking at me. Eventually the fighting will speak for by itself. I can't predict what the UFC will perform or what they might like to do with me; that will not be in my hands. Just the thing I can predict and control are being healthy, conditioned and remaining within the UFC. What are they about to do? I have simply no idea. Where do I think may be put me? I don't know, man. I can't answer that to create never know. "
Throughout a large number of his career, Pyle is known as a fighter who's the most dangerous as soon as action hits the canvas. Involving his 33 career victories, nearly half have come with submission. That being said, over his past three outings, Pyle has displayed versatility and power with his striking attack, since he's sat down all of three opponents in impressive fashion.
"That is all because of my coaching staff together with I'll put that in it, " Pyle said. "Personal schooling, one-on-one training and doing what is best for me have allowed me to continue to improve. I am involved using a team but marriage ceremony a team sport and I've taken a lot of time to focus on myself personally and my career in most cases. That has been the prevailing change I've made.
"My home is Syndicate Mixed Fighting styles in Vegas but I do train with Jimmy Gifford as well. I owe a lot of credit to him designed for helping me out in addition to really settling me down in lots of different areas. He's helped make me a powerful striker. I also seek advise from Nate Pettit. He is a good striking coach and all-around MMA private coach. The coaches I've caused have taken all his time and really helped me be a better fighter. "
