After five appearances with Spurs in the first half of the season, Townsend went on loan to Queens Park Rangers in January and has earned a consistent spot in the starting lineup.
As of late, the 21-year-old has started to blossom as a player, scoring goals in two consecutive matches as QPR look to defy the odds and stay in the Premier League.
With Spurs' depth at winger being called into question (especially if Gareth Bale should leave in the summer), Townsend may have an obvious spot in the team when he comes back from his loan spell.
Hopefully, Andros will get more great experience at QPR and return in the summer ready to contribute at White Hart Lane.
Zeki Fryers' transfer to Tottenham from Standard Liege may have angered Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson, but the young defender may be a key player for Spurs in the near future.
After all, the club has a clear lack of depth at left back, where an injury to Benoit Assou-Ekotto earlier in the season resulted in Kyle Naughton, Jan Vertonghen and Gareth Bale rotating from other positions to provide cover.
Zeki is currently starring for Spurs' developmental side, even scoring a goal in the side's victory over the Manchester United reserves.
If Fryers can continue improving for the reserves, he should soon be able to create a niche for himself in the first team.

Tottenham supporters should look for improvement in Caulker's game as he represents the future of the club's defense.
