The Masters, Rules and the King

Itas this time of year when golf actually starts to percolate around this place. Weare only still another week from the Masters. Most states are starting to see bare ground, even yet in the North where itas been pretty cold. The companies that make tennis STUFF are ramping up their offers and ads. And youare probably if you can get another year with the same old grabs wondering! (Do yourself a and re-grip, youave gained it.) First, I've to offer a thumbs as much as Doug for a good article on who may gain at Augusta (hope he'd Grand National chances forecasts, also, but oh well) Iam in agreement with just about everything, EXCEPT Iam on the Tiger bandwagon in 2013. Heas relieved, way is looked by his swing greater, heas putting great (thanks in part to Steve Stricker) and his life has received some stability now that heas dating Lindsey Vonn. That last issue isn't to be studied lightly. Lion has been so beneficial to so long that individuals expect him to gain with a leg, a broken image and a rusty swing. But, as place seen, he too is human. Itas been longer than anybody expected for him to get back once again to the winneras range frequently and early in the golf season. As leader of the pack with 3 victories already this year heas back. I said this past year that I thought Tiger could get at least one Major and probably two. I was wrong, but Iam planning to double down and this season say the same. No one can guarantee a win (except perhaps Willy Joe), but Tiger is actually the favorite. Heas played well enough in 2013 that the other people are hearing footsteps. That will help him. I like Dougas other picks for winning. And I belong to that sounding ait could be nice to see Sergio get completely just and right back maybe gain his first Major this yeara. To Rules and the King, the King being Arnie of course. I agree entirely along with his recent remarks that golf needs one set of rules if itas planning to keep carefully the spirit of the game that's to date experienced for 100+ years. Iam not even sure how to argue that, it just feels obvious if you have inhaled the spirit of the overall game. Itas not really a multi-level sport, itas the exact same for everyone and thatas what makes it special. Decide to try and slice it up into pieces and bits and youall be throwing it right in the gut. Probably the very best discussion is that Arnie is for this. For me personally, contemporary golf is what it is due to Mr. Palmer. He embraced golf like no other a' all areas of it a' and then pumped his or her own soul back into it. I feel comfortable in stating that without Arnie, there wouldnat have now been Jack or Tiger. And then thereas this; Arnie still loves nothing better than reaching some tennis balls every day. Golf and he are wound together like as closely as ketchup and hamburgers. Then there has to be one set of rules, if he says there HAS to be one set of rules. People who find themselves owners of the relationship should think long and hard before they're going changing something that has always worked, something that's essential to the overall game. I wish I was assured they wonat mess it up, but I look at games like basketball and observe wrong it could all go. Arnie, thanks for not being afraid to step in and for showing us just how to keep consitently the soul of golf alive. I sure wish the golf bureaucrats are focusing.
