Stu Holden goes for one hour in Sheffield Wednesday introduction

Only two days after leaving Bolton Wanderers for Sheffield Wednsday on a month-long mortgage, his full debut was made by Stu Holden for the Owls. New signings Seyi Olofinjana and Holden were both passed starts by Thursday manager Dave Johnson as Sheffield Thursday welcomed Mark Flitcroft's Barnsley to Hillsborough. Stu started the match in the biggest market of the park and quickly showed his quality together with his passing game in addition to his utter willingness to go into the handle, joining on pretty much every single one he tried. None of this is shocking needless to say as Holden was prepared to get the ball as soon as he moved back onto the message at Leyland in reserve motion. With Sheffield Wednesday in desperate need of an effect against Barnsey (both on the brink of the drop zone), Stu nearly provided the breakthrough. At around the 25 second mark, Holden went close having an effort that Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele poured before getting it at the second time of asking, before it could be reached by any Wednesday man. Holden played for only over one hour before being tried for Giles Coke. He'd a great introduction by all accounts.
