Penn State Football: All-Time Most useful Recruit at Each Position

Justin King used fellow 5-star recruit Derrick Williams to Happy Valley in 2005. King, a defensive right back from Gate way Senior High School near Pittsburgh was a very popular sponsor. Texas, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Miami and USC all had hopes of getting the gifted prospect. In the end, King thought we would stay in-state and use the blue and white. Perhaps his stepdad, Terry Smith, who was simply a radio for the Nittany Lions from 1988-1991, had some influence onAhis choice. Whilst the 15th-best sponsor in the country and the No master was rated by 247sports.com. 2 cornerback. In senior high school, he enjoyed both working back and cornerback. During his senior year at Gateway, he hurried for 1,795 yards with 30 touchdowns. On one other aspect of the ball, King made 30 fights, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries. His efforts in senior school earned him the honor to be called to the Parade High School All-American team. Via Scout.com, "King has blazing speed and better yet speed. He plays running straight back and cornerback at the high school level and tasks as an address spot at the following level. King must be one of the fastest and quickest prospects in the country." The cornerback stumbled on Penn State with lots of nonsense, but never really reached his full potential. He did make some important plays and was a great contributor to the team, but did not materialized into the top-level sponsor that he was expected to be. Penn State was left by king after his senior season to enter the NFL. He was taken in the next round by the St. Louis Rams. He is still in the group, presently playing for his home-town Pittsburgh Steelers.
